Manaing the process-driven global enterprice: Executive MBA in Supply Chain Management
The MBA program with its international SCM focus was successfully launched in Switzerland in May 2003. The program (which the participants attend concurrent to their normal jobs) targets European specialists and managers who are interested in further education in this important area of corporate operations.
The course is a product of the ETH Zurich, the Hong Kong University of Science & Technology and professors of universities like the Vienna University of Economics and Business Administration, the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics and the University of Dortmund, the Tongji University and the University of Tokyo. It is supported in terms of content by more than 40 renowned international companies.
Successful participants in the program will be awarded a postgraduate degree.

Duration: - 18 months/part time - 12 months/88 lecture days (approx. 50% during weekends (Th-Su)) - 6 months master thesis
Requirements: - A university degree or very good college degree (including University of applied sciences) or equivalent - 5 year of business experience - Proficient in English
The course consists of 5 modules :
1) Global Economy Module Recognition of the global connections, regularities, changes, drivers and their effect on organizations and processes of SCM. 2) Management Module Recognizing and understanding the organizational conditions and measures in enterprises for the optimal conversion of the market requirements. 3) SCM Module Becoming acquainted with the organizations, processes, and technologies for successful implementation and operation of SCM in companies. 4) Asia Module Recognizing and understanding the cultural, organizational and technological conditions for successful SCM in and with Asia. Study Excursions Further solidifications of knowledge will be achieved through inspection of enterprises in western and eastern Europe (1 week), and in Asia (2 weeks).
5) Master Thesis Application and retention of acquired knowledge through working with a concrete practical example from participant's own company or business.
