The Penn State iMBA
The Penn State iMBA
Value: Put an internationally recognized Penn State MBA degree on your resume without having to move and without sacrificing your current salary/career through the online courses of the iMBA. Receive a degree that is identical to that received by resident Penn State MBA graduates (diploma states you earned a Master of Business Administration, not an online MBA or an iMBA degree). As you take courses, immediately transfer theory into practice and increase your value to your firm.
Innovation: Participate in an integrated and interactive curriculum that focuses on themes derived from the values and concepts found in high-performance organizations. In addition, iMBA courses use a variety of technologies to enhance content and facilitate learning. Professors have teamed up with instructional designers, instructional developers, graphic artists, and editors to develop courses that are more than text placed on the Web or faculty on video.
Integration: Build the breadth of skills required by successful managers in today’s dynamic business environment. Delve into the cross-functional curriculum so that you will learn to communicate, solve problems, and develop strategic alternatives across all areas of business.
Interaction: Develop a strong professional network with high-quality student peers and faculty. Working as a cohort, you and your colleagues will share diverse experiences and skill sets as you participate in highly interactive team activities. Interact with Penn State Graduate faculty as they deliver iMBA courses and use their research and consulting experiences to provide practical and innovative insights into business operations.
Residency: Participate in the unique and exhilarating residency experiences. Work on-site at a real firm, examine company operations, interact with company executives, and immerse yourself in the culture of the company as you and your teammates create organizational, financial, and strategic alternatives for the firm.
Support: Receive access to the same resources as on-campus students including student advising, library resources, bibliographic databases, online data sources, and technical support. Additionally, procedures such as course scheduling, registration, and purchases/mailings of course materials (e.g., textbooks, cases, etc.) are handled by the iMBA Office. |
