The EBS Full-time MBA programme in General Management beginning September 2008 is designed to qualify talented and ambitious professionals who have at least three years of international experience in rapidly developing transition economies.
The 18-months programme in General Management with concentration either on global finance or global operation is designed as a globally recognized management qualification focussing on the emerging markets. The programme takes place in cooperation with highly renowned univeristies in the so-called BRIC states (China, India, Russia, Brazil). All modules are taught in English. The EBS Full-time MBA prepares graduates for international management functions.
During the programme participants can take advantage of the EBS Career Service Centre which offers job placements through the EBS job platform, regular recruitment fairs with integrated interviews, career workshops, events and networking activities like ebs Symposium, EBS Global Dialogue. So participants will establish strong ties with internationally operating companies well timed before their graduation to get ready for their next career step.
Every month interviews are on the campus. All interviews are also via phone available. To attend an interview day on the campus or via phone the application form has to be submitted four weeks in advance. Video conferencing facilities for the interview days can be arranged.
All modules are taught in English by the EBS faculty and internationally renowned professors.
Occupational field/ Target audience
The EBS Full-time MBA programme targets young professionals (approximately 25 years or older) with a university degree, at least three years of working experience and an above-average level of motivation. Business economists, computer scientists, social scientists and graduates in other fields will benefit from the EBS Full-time MBA programme.
The EBS Full-time MBA prepares graduates for international management functions. It is a highly intensive degree programme designed as a fast track management programme for the next generation of business leaders focussing on the emerging markets. The programme qualifies participants for key management positions of the 21st century. MBA graduates are not only offered more exciting jobs to boost their career, they also earn significantly more than applicants who lack this degree
Reciprocally the programme prepares international participants for a management career in Germany.
Focus / Curriculum
The 18-month EBS Full-time programme in General Management is a highly intensive degree programme for the next generation of business leaders.
During the programme participants will acquire comprehensive general management knowledge. At the same time they can choose from five foreign languages (Chinese, Russian, Spanish, Portuguese, German) and learn in small groups. Participants will also concentrate either on global finance or global operations.
In the module ‘Global Consulting Project’ small groups of students, under the supervision of an EBS professor, will tackle current business issues at renowned international companies for nine to twelve months.
In the last term, participants will deepen their knowledge in a 6-month study abroad programme at a partner university in the BRIC states where they will attend lectures in their chosen concentration (global finance or global operation).
For all students personal module-based coaching sessions are scheduled to suit their individual goals and needs. All MBA graduates receive a free one-year membership of the alumni club eXebs for networking with other members which hold high-level positions at renowned companies in Germany and for invitations to homecoming days and events at the main campus in Oestrich-Winkel
