You will study among a mature and diverse group of students who bring a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the classroom.

Cranfield has been offering MBA programmes since 1964. We have an international reputation for excellence and are consistently ranked among the top business schools in the world. Cranfield is one of only a handful of international business schools to be triple accredited by AACSB, EQUIS and AMBA.

Occupational field/ Target audience

Over 97% of our Full-time MBAs are in their chosen employment three months after completing the programme.

The Career Development Service at Cranfield provides a personalised approach to career development. With a dedicated team of ten professionals - including 2 occupational psychologists and 5 industry experts, plus external support for specialist activities, we will work closely with our students to create, articulate then realise their career aspirations.

First we help identify and refine the skills that are needed, growing self-awareness, enhancing networking and presentation skills, strengthening CVs, coaching for mock interviews and psychometric tests. Then we create the opportunities for our students to make the most rewarding career transitions.

-  Our unique 3-day Senior Leadership Assessment Centre helps our MBAs identify their strengths and capitalise on them.

- Regular leadership lectures, personal planning and stocktaking workshops and executive coaching sessions help them understand their potential and encourage them to explore new opportunities.

-  Networking events and careers fairs enable our students to make key contacts with alumni and other industry professionals.

-  We work closely with sponsored students, helping them to outline a development plan, and provide guidance on talent management best practice, and support succession planning with senior management.

-  Students wishing to start their own business can tap into the expertise of the Cranfield Centre for Entrepreneurship. And high-tech or knowledge-based businesses can take advantage of the facilities, support and advice offered by the Cranfield University Business Incubation Centre (CUBIC).

Focus / Curriculum

The Cranfield MBA is a general management programme.

Part one consists of 13 core modules, covering the functional areas of business together with key skills associated with performing these functions.

In part two, students take control of their learning, tailoring the programme to aid their career transition. They select a combination of four themed modules that take a multi-disciplinary approach to contemporary business issues and current research. The modules integrate the expertise of faculty from different business disciplines, including research staff specialising in these areas.

Also during part two, our MBAs take part in a compulsory International Business Experience - a one-week study tour, giving them the opportunity to apply their learning in an international context, probably in a region where they have little or no experience to date.

The backbone of the Cranfield MBA is Personal and Professional Development, with compulsory modules running right through the programme.
