MBA European-Asian Management


The MBA European-Asian Management at the Berlin School of Economics and Lawoffers a government-approved and accredited MBA course of outstandingprofile.

The MBA European-Asian Management sets out to strengthen managementcompetencies in an international and intercultural context by providingstudents with an overarching understanding of management challenges andtasks.

The programme´s main focus is on finding viable and feasible managementsolutions in the real situations confronting internationally awarebusinesses and organisations.

The essential range of topics of an international MBA scheme aresupplemented with important aspects of Asian- and Pacific economicdevelopments.

The MBA European-Asian sets out to provide our students with just thoseparticular skills so much in demand for executive management tasks inthe many multinational / global companies doing business with and inAsia.

To mainstream the crucial aspect of a European-Asian exchange ofexperience throughout the programme, all courses focus on and explorethe intercultural perspective. The students on this MBA programme comeroughly equally from Asian and western countries and have alreadygained initial experience in responsible positions in industry andcommerce.


Occupational field/ Target audience


The MBA European-Asian Management specifically addresses juniorexecutive managers with at least two years work experience and aninterest in acquiring the managerial skills to perform higher executivemanagement tasks.
 
Students applying to this programme may already have a greater orlesser theoretical understanding of business administration but theyall have clear career goals, are highly motivated to learn with andfrom one another, and have a genuine desire for excellence in all areasof their work. In addition, given this programme's particular focus,students are expected to have a special interest in internationalbusiness activities within the Asian-European economic areas.


Focus / Curriculum


To underline the Programme's international direction, the entire MBA European-Asian is taught in English.

The MBA European-Asian is a General Management programme with special focus on

- the business environment for multinational companies in Europe and Asia
- consumer behavior in Europe and Asia
- negotiation styles in Europe and Asia
- cross-cultural management competences

The courses are held as seminars encompassing contemporarypractice-oriented case studies in business and administration, planninggames, team teaching and team work along with presentations.

You will:
- study in a carefully selected group of students with a broad variety of cultural, academic and professional backgrounds
- acquire state- of- the- art management know how
- interact with lecturers who have international top management experience
- develop your soft management skills
