MBA European Management
The MBA European Management programme offers you a course of studiesdirectly concerned with the core issues for companies working in aEuropean business environment.
On this programme, you will be analysing the political, legal, culturaland economic environment of European businesses, evaluating theirmarkets in terms of procurement, finance and sales and drafting newstrategies for international competition. Building on your minimum of two years of work experience and a firstdegree most probably not in economics or business administration, youwill be developing and honing your specialist, analytical, and personalcompetences in an intensive exchange of experience with both yourfellow MBA classmates and your lecturers, all of whom have a strongbackground in "real-world" business life, helping you acquire a set ofskills enabling you to effectively take on executive managementtasks.
This postgraduate programme is taught in English in two dynamic European capitals - Berlin and London.
Occupational field/ Target audience
The MBA European Management Programme specifically addresses juniormanagers with at least two years of work experience and an interest inacquiring the managerial skills to perform higher executive managementtasks.
Although some candidates may have already studied business oreconomics, this is not a specific admission requirement; as a rule, ourprogramme is found to complement other academic qualifications for amanagement career.
Successful participation in the MBA programme requires a genuine desirefor excellence in all areas of work, distinct career goals, and ahighly motivated approach.
In addition, given this programme's particular focus, students areexpected to have a special interest in international businessactivities within the European economic area.
Focus / Curriculum
The programme is divided into three Stages covering the modules ofFinance and Accounting, General Management and Environment, HumanResources and Organisation, Marketing and Production as well asManagement Skills.
The First Stage focuses on providing students with the basic managementskills. The Second Stage then concentrates on international issues.Finally, the Third Stage offers the chance to then apply the methodslearnt in a company project.
In the business world an MBA is not only expected to know theory andhow to apply management techniques. Increasing importance is beingplaced on social competence. The two-day seminars within the 'PersonalSkills Development' programe in the first two stages are designed todevelop these skills along with everyday skills required in management.
