knowledge assets and identify new methods to exploit them more
effectively. The MBA in New Media Technology and Management
imparts the technological and management knowledge required to
address these challenges.

Focus / Curriculum

The curriculum of the MBA in New Media Technology and Management comprises aCommon Body of Knowledge (CBK) and two specializations. The CBK aims atreaching a common, scientifically and economically sound level ofknowledge and at ensuring the quality of the program.

The curriculum not only covers general business administration and management
knowledge including human resources, marketing, finance and projectmanagement, but also specialized modules on the economic foundationsand applications of new media technology. Interactive seminars withleading experts in these disciplines address the advantages and limitsof new media, and provide the opportunity to discuss best practicemodels for electronic retailing, electronic publishing and onlinemarketing. New forms of virtual communication and collaboration receiveparticular attention, given their potential to optimize informationflows within and across organizations.

The MBA is organized as an executive program over four terms. A shortsummer break allows graduation after 18 months (full-time) or 24 months(part-time). Internationally recognized scholars convey their expertisein the form of blocked units, which are taught in English and mainlytake place on weekends (approximately 14 days per semester).
