The MBA is either a general type of education or a special one. Depending on its focus the graduates are not merely executives but also specialists. "Administration" can be translated into "management". Even the computer network administrator is a network manager. This is similar to the MBA. He is supposed to be the manager of a certain field area. Thus do not select the MBA program with the lowest admission standards but do choose the one which is most useful to you and your company.
For students: "Which content should I concentrate on to improve my career prospects?"
Not all modules of an MBA program are equally interesting for all the students. Some aspects might already be well-known and of course there are compulsory lectures as well. Even if it's hard, to a certain degree it's necessary to suppress one's personal preferences in order to choose the content that is most profitable.
For graduates: "How can I realize the things I've learned in my job?"
Obviously a newly garduated MBA bristles with new ideas. He wants to introduce unknown methods to his company, reorganize, dare experiements, introduce guidelines.
Because this will not always be received enthusiastically, one of his main tasks will be to manage resistance and convincing. But even this will he have learned during the MBA studies.
For companies: "Which MBA graduate possesses the characteristics and skills that make him the right person for a certain subject area?"
The quality of the various MBA programs is not the same, that's why the abbrevation behind the name is not very predicative. Companies have to know the business school and the modules of the curriculum in order to get an idea of the applicant. MBA.INFO provides transparency for this difficult task so that every human ressources director immeditaley knows what the MBA of his applicant stands for.
For business schools: "How do we have to arrange our curricula and admission requirements in order to give our students the best prospect for their career and make them graduates with outstanding abilities.?"
Old but true: Many universities do not come up to the requirements of the working world. That's the reason why university graduates do an MBA for their postgraduate studies - they want to learn about the expectations and demands of the companies. Business schools should know the demands of the companies. On MBA.INFO they can get to know companies and their agenda concerning future managers.
